On July 30, 2026, the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, presided over a legal proceeding involving Om Interprises Kajipur and respondent Sandeep Kumar. The case, registered as Appeal No. 1350 of 2025, concerns a challenge against an earlier order delivered by the District Consumer Commission in Basti.
According to official records, the appellant business entity filed the appeal to contest the district forum’s verdict dated December 16, 2024, in Complaint Case No. 137 of 2024. The proceedings before the state commission are led by Commission President Justice Ajay Kumar Srivastava alongside member Smt. Sudha Upadhyay.
Official documents indicate that the filing of the current appeal encountered a delay of approximately eight months and twenty-three days. Consequently, the appellant submitted an application and an accompanying affidavit on September 9, 2025, requesting official condonation of the delay to allow the review of the case.
The judicial bench initially prioritized the resolution of the delay condonation application before evaluating the main merits of the dispute. During the hearing, the commission heard oral arguments presented by the appellant’s counsel, Anurag Mishra, as well as the respondent’s counsel, Umesh Kumar Sharma.
